High-pressure low-temperature gaseous and liquid grades of carbon dioxide (carbonic acid gas) are obtained from waste gases of ammonia and alcohol productions as well as in the process of special fuel combustion and other processes. Carbon dioxide is produced in the following states: low temperature liquid, high pressure liquid and gas.
All the grades of carbon dioxide are used as shielding media for metals welding, for food purposes in production of carbonated drinks and dry ice, for cooling, freezing and storage of food products at direct and indirect contact, for drying of casting molds, firefighting and other applications in all the industries. Premium grade and Grade 1of liquid carbon dioxide are used preferably for the needs of welding production.
Supply form: Carbon dioxide gas has no odour and color. Liquid carbon dioxide has no odour and color.
Packaging: Carbon dioxide gas and high pressure liquid carbon dioxide are transported by piping and in pressure tanks.
Transportation: Cylinders with liquid carbon dioxide are transported by all types of transport. Carbon dioxide gas is transported by piping.
Storage: Cylinders with high pressure liquid carbon dioxide shall be kept in special warehouses or outdoor in enclosed sheltered area to protect the cylinders from atmospheric fallouts and direct sunlight. Low temperature liquid carbon dioxide shall be kept in accumulating cryogenic tanks (reservoirs).
