Production 

The Company production complex embodies 9 Major Plants, 7 Centres (including Research & Technology, and Design) as well as Support Units.

Divinyl & Hydrocarbon Feed Plant

The main products of the plant are hydrocarbon fractions – feedstock for production facilities of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, industrial gases.
Commissioning date is 1967.
Application range of the major produce: butadiene is for production of synthetic rubber, liquefied hydrocarbon gases are for use as transport fuel, and isopentane is for production of isoprene and rubber.

Butyl Rubber Plant

Main produce: butyl rubber, halobutyl rubber (chlorobutyl rubber, bromobutyl rubber), isobutylene. 
Commissioning dates: butyl rubber plant is 1973, isobutylene facility – 1989, halobutyl rubber – 2004.

Main produce applications: butyl rubber – to manufacture inner tubes, bladders for shaper-vulcanizers, butyl latex, construction and medical items; halobutyl rubber – in tire and mechanical rubber goods industry. 

Synthetic Rubber Plant

Main produce: synthetic rubbers - cis-isoprene rubber (SKI-3), polybutadiene rubber (NdBR, lithium based BR, ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM), butadiene-styrene rubber (SBR), dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), synthetic polymeric petroleum resin.
Commissioned: 1970 - isoprene unit, 1978 - SKI-3 unit, 1994 - EPDM  and DCPD unit, 1997 – facility for production of synthetic polymeric petroleum resin, 2004 – NdBR unit, 2007 – Lithium BR unit.

Main produce applications: EPDM, NdBR, Lithium BR – in tire and mechanical rubber goods industry; isoprene – to produce stereoregular types of rubber, butyl rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, diverse chemicals; DCPD – to make energy & high-density fuels, as feedstock in organic synthesis; synthetic polymeric petroleum resin – to produce paint oil, building paint.

Isoprene Monomer Plant 

Main produce: isoprene, methyl-tert-butyl ether (MTBE), divinyl, butadiene, isobutylene. 
Commissioned: isoprene unit in 1980, MTBE unit in 2002.

Main produce applications: isoprene, butadiene – to produce stereoregular types of rubber, butyl rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, diverse chemicals; MTBE – as a high-antiknock agent in motor gasoline, divinyl – to produce rubber.

Ethylene Plant 

Main produce: ethylene, propylene, benzene. 
Commissioned in 1976. 

Main produce applications: ethylene – to produce polyethylene, PVC, ethylene oxide, ethyl alcohol, ethylbenzene, acetic aldehyde and other organic products, as well as in refrigerating systems. Propylene – to produce polypropylene, acrylic acid nitrile, isopropyl and butyl alcohols, isopropyl benzene, propylene oxide, glycerin. 

Ethylene Oxide Plant 

Main produce: ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol, ethyl carbitol, ethyl cellosolve. 
Commissioned: ethylene oxide unit 1 in 1980, ethylene oxide unit 2 in 1986, ethyl cellosolve unit in 1981, glycols unit in 1980. 

Main produce applications: ethylene oxide – to produce mono-, di-, triethylene glycols, polyethylene glycol, ethylene glycol ester, alkanolamine, non-ionic surfactants and polyether; ethylene glycol – to produce synthetic fibre, synthetic film, resins, solvents, low-freezing liquid, hydraulic fluid, polyurethane elastomers; diethyleneglycol – in the organic synthesis industry; triethylene glycol – to make oligoesteracryls, plasticizers, polyester acrylates; technical ethyl carbitol – to produce ethers, brake and hydraulic fluids; technical ethyl cellosolve – in the chemical, medical, defense industries. 

Styrene & Polyether Resin Plant 

Main produce: styrene, propylene oxide, laprol, polyether. 
Commissioned: ethylbenzene & styrene units in 1977, propylene oxide & styrene units in 1981, polyether unit in 1983. 

Main produce applications: 
Styrene – to produce polystyrene plastics, butadiene-styrene types of rubber, paint-and-lacquer materials, bonding materials, foam-polystyrene plastics for construction industry, ABS-plastics, diverse thermoplastic elastomers; 
propylene oxide – to produce polyethers, dyes, propylene glycol, in surfactant production; laprol – to make foamed polyurethane; polyether PP - 2504 – to thicken water-glycol systems; polyether PE - GS – to make rigid foamed polyurethane; polyether SNPH - 4410( А ) – to produce demulsifiers.

Oligomer Plant 

Main produce: neonols, propylene trimers & tetramers, alpha-olefins, polyethers, polyethylene glycols.
Commissioned: neonol unit in 1984, propylene trimer & tetramer unit in 1986, alkylphenol unit in 1986, alpha-olefin unit in 1990, polyether unit in 1995. 

Main produce applications: propylene trimers – to produce alkylphenols, as feedstock for oxosynthesis of isodecyl alcohols; propylene tetramers – to make oil additives; linear alpha-olefins – to make synthetic lubricating oils, technical detergents, synthetic fatty acids, as comonomer in making LLDPE, in producing plasticizers by oxo-synthesis method, as well as surfactants.
Neonols are used to produce detergents, in the textile, pulp and paper industries, to intensify crude oil production, as a component in lubrication-cooling, hydraulic and other process liquids, in ferrous metallurgy; polyethers – to make reagents to treat crude oil for deep dehydration, to desalt oil, oil demulsifier-reagents.
Polyethylene glycols are used for production of plasticizers, in chemical, textile, rubber, metal working industries and other industries pursuant to the opinion of the Ministry of Health.

Polystyrene Plant 

Main produce: high impact polystyrene (HIPS) and general purpose polystyrene (GPPS), ABS-plastics. 
Commissioned: 2003 – the first polystyrene facility, 2013 – ABS-plastics. 

Produce applications: GPPS (bulk) - to manufacture articles by different hot shaping methods; HIPS – to manufacture techware, food substances & consumer goods packaging material.
ABS-plastics  - to manufacture refrigeration and household appliances and electronics, electrical, plumbing, toys, automotive, packaging and furniture industries, etc.

Polyolefin Plant

Main produce: polypropylene, polyethylene. 
Commissioned: 2006 – polypropylene unit, 2009 – polyethylene unit. 
Applications: polypropylene - to manufacture pipes, fittings, sheets, tubular film, flat-slot extrusion film, biaxially-oriented film, fibre, fiber-bonded cloth, mono-thread, film thread, packaging material, technical, domestic, medical ware, articles contacting with food substances, toys; polyethylene – to produce pipes for various applications, packaging, film for packing of foodstuff and technical articles, automobile parts, medical-care products etc.

Research & Technology Center (RTC) 

Set up in 1966.
Major activities: research in developing and mastering novel and improving the existing technological and environmental processes; development of new processes on the experimental pilot plants and small-scale commercial production; development and improvement of methods for analytical control of production; control over the labour conditions at work places; performance of arbitration analyses; work for the purposes of the state ecoanalytical production control; providing specialists and subdivisions of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim with scientific-and-technical, including patent information, ASTM methods, REACH legislation documentation.

Design Centre (DC) 

Prime objective – execution of design and estimate documentation for all spheres of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim activities.
Set up in 1965. 
Design Centre executes working documentation for construction, erection and putting in operation of major production & support units, social, cultural & household units.
