Polymerization line # 6 is in operation at butyl rubber plant of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc.

A few days ago polymerization line #6 was put in operation at Nizhnekamskneftekhim rubber plant as part of the program for expansion of total capacity of butyl and halogenated butyl rubber up to 100,000 tons per annum.

Putting the line in service not only increased the production of polymer but also allowed to improve the environmental conditions at the plant. Owing to simultaneous operation of five polymerization systems (one system is a permanent stand-by) there is less possibility of methyl chloride – polymerization solvent – getting to atmosphere.
