Discussions
were held between the management of Nizhnekamskneftekhim
Inc. and Michelin company on February 1.
Mr. V. Busygin,
general director of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc. and vice-presidents
of Michelin – Mr. J. P. Fradal, general director for production
of synthetic rubber and Mr. J. M. Coulon, general director
for procurement as well as Mr. C. Janin, general director
for tests and development have discussed the ways of further
cooperation between the two companies.
Michelin is the
strategic partner of Nizhnekamskneftekhim in the development
of rubber production. This company was the first among the
world tire producers to certify polybutadiene rubber (NBR)
and halogenated butyl rubber (HIIR) produced at Nizhnekamskneftekhim
and recommended to use them at their production facilities.
In the course
of the meeting the managers of the foreign company highly
evaluated the contribution of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc.
in the development of the production of new competitive
grades of synthetic rubber and they also confirmed their
intentions for further mutually advantageous cooperation.
Mr. Busygin expressed his gratitude to Michelin directors
for the support and assistance rendered in the process of
mastering of halogenated butyl rubber.
Protocol was signed
based on the results of negotiations defining the ways of
further cooperation.
Among the participants of the meeting also were Mr. Peters,
director of technical department, and Mr. I. Ivanoff, director
for raw material procurement, and Mr. Gilmutdinov, Chief
Process Engineer of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc., and Ms. Maximova,
manager of export department.
