"Nizhnekamskneftekhim" INC and "Basell" company entered into Agreement on buying Licence to produce polyethylene

December 9,2004 “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC and “Basell”
company signed an Agreement on buying a Licence and Process
Documentation Package to produce differing grades of polyethylene
of total capacity 230,000 TPA. The Agreement
manifests a logic continuation in cooperation of NKNK and
one of the world leaders in devising processes for polyolefin
production, which began in 2003 within the framework of
a Project to construct a Polypropylene Plant 180,000 TPA
at “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” INC. Implementation
of the above Projects will result in deeper processing of
hydrocarbon feed, will qualitatively expand a product range
of the Company and will enable NKNK to turn up to the new
markets of advanced technology products.
