A Second Production Facility of Styrene and Polyester Resin Plant at Nizhnekamskneftekhim Inc makes three major types of marketable products: propylene oxide, styrene and polyethers. In July-August, its overhaul was implemented within a shortest period with all the planned work successfully completed, and the Facility has been steadily running for two months now.
A September output plan for the Second Facility was 23 000 tons of styrene. The planned figures were outdone due to stable functioning of the equipment: the Facility is currently exploiting dehydrogenation and epoxidation systems. Moreover, several process units were upgraded during the overhaul, which made it possible to increase the load by 20%.
