On the 22 of December JSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim and
JSC "Ak Bars" signed an agreement on the long-time cooperation
for the period up to year 2004. According to this agreement
"Ak Bars" bank will invest 100 million USD in JSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim"
("Vremya i dengi" newspaper, Kazan, 24.12.99).

«Expert» business magazine in its issue #36 of September
27, 1999 published annual rating of the biggest Russian
comapanies. It was prepared by «Expert - RA» rating agency
on the basis of financial reports provided by the enterprises.
Two main parameters were mostly taken into account for the
preparation of the rating tables, namely the volume of product
sales in 1998 and market value (capitalization) of a company.
The reliability of the rating was confirmed by «PriceWaterhouseCoopers»
auditors.
According to this rating JSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» was
rated the 24th by sales volume among 200 biggest companies.
By capitalization JSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» was rated the
11th, market value of the company was evaluated in the amount
of 11.6 billion rubles as of September 1, 1999. It means
that market evaluation of company's shares came close to
their actual value. In the rating table Nizhnekamskneftekhim
occupies the 18th place among top 30 companies the most
highly evaluated by the investors.
